SOS: Bush 43: Make your reputation: Pardon Jonathan Pollard!

Hey Bushkie

Wanna make your long term reputation LAST?

Jonathan Pollard NEVER had a trial, because he plead GUILTY.

How about pardoning him after 20 YEARS of HARD, severe jail time??

Casper Weinberger unfairly had him sentenced for LONGER then
the Freedom fighters from PR against President Eisenhower.

It's time to grant him a conditional pardon
COMMUTE his sentence until time served.

That'd be a heck of a legacy for you when leaving office.

As a matter of fact, it will balance EVERY other action that occurred during the eight years you ran our country.

Cheers.

I know I'm dreaming, but it would be a real great dream, and make your reputation last forever!

OK, you wanted a Political discussion: Here goes.

The background I believe that:
* We're HEADING into a DEPRESSION.
* It's going to be as BAD as the last one.
* The current failures only bring us 25% into the problem!!
* According to Robert Reich (former Sec'y of Labor under Clinton): The only number that he EVER saw, defining the
depression was that the unemployment rate hovered around 25%.
* We need a new deal.
* After 58 years of NO Health Care Reform (since 1950!) it will FINALLY be coming soon...
* We've managed to WASTE a FULL generation (from Zero to thirty) with decaying social, educational, and interpersonal skills.
* Our nation is no longer DOING (producing) anything.
SO, from these few premises, I have extrapolated a great deal of items to FIX our society...

But....
We need to make sure that a number of issues are resolved ALL at once.
If we don't do them ALL at once, its like juggling three RUNNING chain saws, but dropping one!

Here's what I came up with:

We need to do the FOLLOWING to FIX our Society:
* Create A Living Wage
* Create a National Single payer Healthcare
* Create a National 3-4 year draft (or alternate service)
* Create a Federally paid Day Care starting at six months
* Implement Tax Reform on the ULTRA Rich
* Lobbying (Political Reform)
* Education
* Infrastructure (road /bridge/Systems repairs)
* Lack of Training/futures
* Truth and Reconcilliation Commission
* A new "Manhattan" project, focusing on Energy INDEPENDENCE

Depression and NPR: not the mental kind

hMM. A few months ago I mentioned I was starting to log news articles about the great depression, and that the incidents of citations was rising very much.

Well today, NPR had an interesting story, talking about Franklin Delano Roosevelt, on the campaign trail offering voters solutions to the Great Depression.

Very interesting, and VERY Pertinent to what I keep saying... (We're ALREADY in a F#&#king Depression people!)
and that FDR didn't exactly keep HIS campaign promise to CUT taxes and GOVERNMENT either
Listen to the Whole 8 minutes here: Here's the link to the story

Now

What I get from this is:

The depression had people THINKING about how to get the country OUT of it.
That's what I've been hoping people will see, and start to read (and talk about) when they read my blogs.

If you read this, please comment, even anonymously! thanks in advance

Today's McCain vs. Yesterday's

Hey All. I actually like John McCain. Or the John McCain that he USED to be

before he:
* Changed his policy on Immigration
* Changed his policy on no negative campaigning
* Changed his policy on NOT making the BUSH tax cut permanent.
* Changed his morals to win the republican nomination.
* Gave up his moral standing (by nominating an empty Dress and Bra for Vice President)

The man he WAS stood for a lot. The man pretending to be John McCain on the campaign trail
is but a shell of the MAN that he was.

*WHY did McCain Fire his advisers, and hire all the republican advisors that do NEGATIVE campaigns? WHAT happened to his ethics?
*Why did McCain decide NOT to nominate a qualified candidate, and make this a NON-partisan race for the white house (by nominating Joe Lieberman for VP?)

I really don't understand how someone can look at the moral gaffes that McCain has made in this campaign, and still say he will be better then Obama.

In my mind, the only two arguments that come up, are from former Hillary supporters who say

He isn't tested. He isn't experienced enough.
or from someone
who just can't openly admit that they are still bigoted, and can't vote for a black for president.

7 days and counting.

Obama:Black majority? or Jesse Jackson?

Give me a break.

I (as a white american) think the question of Obama immediately changing our country to
favor blacks, is really quite chilling.

I've spent almost 45 years trying to live down my parent and grandparents views of black relations. (The yiddish word schvatze [prounounced sch-vaart-che], literally meaning 'black')
was not really used as a nice word in their generation.

It's taken almost 40-50 years for this to go away. I'm grateful it has.
A black president? My first question is NOT , as they may have said, "A schvatze?", but instead "is he qualified?"

I'm really happy it's come this far.

Now. Is John McCain Qualified?

John McCain on economics: "I know nothing about economics"
Barak Obama on economics: Here are some ideas to get us OUT of this economics mess.

John McCain on government regulation: CUT, CUT, remove all regulations. (typical republican!)
Barak Obama? : Regulate, regulate, regulate.

Which do YOU think is more important???

oh, and don't forget: John McCain's economic advisor is Former Senator Phil Gramm, the SAME guy who singlehandedly INSERTED a last minute (11:59PM) paragraph DEREGULATING ENRON (and the entire financial marketplace) literally 10 minutes before he retired from the senate, and told NO-BODY he did this!!!!

It's been documented, and PROVEN this is the cause of this fall's financial crisis, since these financial instruments were UNREGULATED by this provision, and caused the problem.

I say Wall Street's greed was caused by UNDER-regulation.

back to original topic:

Will Obama order all Whites to walk in the gutters?
Will Obama have Jesse Jackson as the Secretary of State?
Will Obama force all whites to become slaves??

I don't think so....

More another day...

Election'08: It's my party, I'll blog if I want to..

You'd (cry/blog) too, if it happened to you...

And since it's my blog; I am going to be posting daily until after the Election.

Some real interesting feelings:

1) I am not an Obama '"Stepford Wife". I am supporting him with GREAT misgivings.
He is NOT perfect. He IS too 'poised', he is NOT 'heavy with experience', like McCain.

Some positives:
  1. Obama IS qualified to be president on day one (and on day Two, unlike Sarah Palin).
  2. Obama IS (just like Pepsi was), the hope of a NEW Generation.
  3. Obama IS more qualified then John McCain to lead us in this period of UNKNOWN financial UNCERTAINTY. (Remember John McCain Admitted to knowing NOTHING about economics!)
  4. Obama has PLANS for saving our society (sound familiar?-see other blog)
  5. Unlike John McCain, he will actually TAX people with incomes OVER $250,000 per year. Note To (readers)... Do you actually MAKE $250,000 per year? I can only dream of that...PS: MY Proposal says start at 1million, not a quarter of a million!!!, and imposes a MINIMUM Millionaire tax of no less then one percent of GROSS income!
I am very fearful. I see a huge 'alleged' support of Obama. But I fear that if Obama does not win, the 'race' card will have been played by the white majority.

This having been said, I am very very fearful of our country being divided, this time worse then in the stolen Y2K election, where the Supreme Court (forced) the election of the republicans.
(in the survey of votes the next year, it was proven that the democrats would have won!)

I am stating now, that I will be out in force protesting, if more dicey election tactics are revealed this year. Especially since in 2000, and 2004, Republican 'tactics' to split/divert the vote were shown to have occurred.

My worse fear is that this issue will become violent, and will create a new 'UN-CIVIL war'.

It is quite possible, if one thinks about it, that if tactics leading to the rejection of valid voting takes place, it will absolutely lead to a war.

Will prisoners be taken??

Will we be forced to declare sides?

Will we ever have peace after this??

These are all valid thoughts.

And.

I hope that you are thinking, of voting for John McCain, these issues will
help to dissuade you from going out to vote.

If you were a Hilary supporter, I bet you think he is a "wishy-washy" and not a competent leader. If you really want to vote AGAINST Obama, just stay HOME. That's the safest way
to do this in my opinion

Waste Your Vote? Why vote Palin? A personal question

To those I personally know who claim they are voting for John McCain.

1) Get real. He AIN'T a muslim. You listen to too much Rush Limbaugh and radical talk-shows.
2) The REPUBLICAN (read RIGHT WING John Birch Society) Nuts have LOST. THIS Financial crisis was the DEATH KNOLL of the conservative movement.
3) Waste your vote?? Are you crazy? Do you know how dangerous John McCain is today?
4) NOW is NOT the time to punish the Democratic party because Hillary isn't the nominee.
5) Barak Obama, UNLIKE the republican candidate, has NOT resorted to NEGATIVE campaigning, Negative ROBO-Phone calls, or even claiming Obama is not qualified, or is simply a terrorist.
5a) FOR SHAME to you for think you're better off then you were 8 years ago.
6) Are you better then you were 30 days ago? NO. Why vote for the guy that has NO FINANCIAL Knowledge?
7) Do you really think Bill Ayers is a Terrorist? You lived through the sixties.
One of you was actually in the ARMY.
Give me a break. He paid his DUES. Call me a terrorist then!

8) and WHY the heck is McCain so desperate that he's resorting to THAT?!

and FINALLY

9) are you buying that "obama will raise taxes bull-turds? Do you REALLY make OVER $250,000 per year? Gee I never knew that.

10) Even MY plans raise taxes (mine above 1million, with a new MINIMUM Millionaire Tax (MMT) of 1-5% of GROSS income!)

Yes, I like John McCain. Until he decided to go for the "Republican Base" (read the conservative base of ANTI-Abortion, PRO GUN, PRO CHRISTIAN and evangelical groups).

He has TOTALLY sold out his policies:

a) He reversed his policy on Drilling for Oil in Alaska. ALL of a sudden, it's fine
b) HE admits HE HAS NO FINANCIAL Knowledge. And he was PROUD of this last year!
b1) NOW is NOT THE TIME for a FINANCIAL NEOPHYTE to be in the WHITE HOUSE. We have JUST (almost) gotten rid of the WORST President in The ENTIRE HISTORY of this country.
b2) Now is NOT the time for someone who said, "The economy is FINE" IN SEPTEMBER of 2008. (and then reverses himself less then three hours later.)

c) John McCain and Joe Lieberman? That would have been a ticket that I could not have avoided supporting. Sarah Tina Palin? Let's vote to have her KICKED off Saturday Night Live. Tina Fey does a better Sarah Palin.

Don't insult me by saying that Sarah Palin is ready to be Governor, let alone the President.
Don't insult me by saying that Sarah Palin isn't going to be President. It has happened.
Don't insult me by saying that Sarah Palin is a great alternative to Barak Obama.

PS: for the record, I am STILL voting for OBAMBA, even if I hold my nose while I do it.

I think it's the better choice for our country.

Financial Crisis: The band plays on

...And the band plays on (Dance band on the Titanic)...

Was in a waiting room today, saw CNBC and they had wall to wall financial crisis.

BUT NOBODY is asking them the KEY critical QUESTION:

What about ALL the TRILLIONS of dollars in CONSUMER debt that was made into
'CDO' (collateralized debt obligations) or CDS (ccollateralized debt swaps)

and sold ALL over the world JUST like the Subprime Mortgages?

I've been YELLING and SCREAMING that "THE SKY IS FALLING!!!"

I keep telling people that we're going to get another 75 % of the iceberg that we're about to hit...

This American Life: the financial Crisis:

Hey. This week's "This American Life", covers the financial crisis.

38 minutes into the show, they discuss the lack of regulation, and how it seems
that it never was done.

The CULPRIT is FORMER senator Phil Gramm. Now a financial industry consultant.

He slipped a paragraph into an appropriations bill which TOTALLY deregulated
all credit markets, and SPECIFICALLY FORBID EVERY state from regulating them too!

He now works for the financial industry.
minute 41 of the program discusses regulating the Credit Default Swap market.

This was UNDONE in 1998, congress was asked to regulate this market, but Senator Gramm slipped this provision into a bill IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!!
in the year 2000.

NOTE the SAME Phil Gramm that USED to be an presidential advisor to JOHN MCCain
before he said, "there's no financial crisis, and we're a nation of Whiners."

Minute 52: the Stock injection Plan:

Instead of this PAULSON plan, the fed would just buy shares in the banks...

The STOCK INJECTION plan was INCLUDED in the House and SENATE bill..

(halujah...) THIS is an OPTION...

the stock injection plan would essentially buy shares in a bank, and be able to do with the company just what they did with AIG.

(throw out the bums, give them cash, and you own the company!)

cheers...
Highly recommende

Need I say more?

Yes: conversation today... At temple: I can't wait to hear the Vice Presidential Debate tomorrow.

I told you SO Department

BYE BYE WaMu

With Apologies to (Charles Strouse Music / Lyrics by Lee Adams)

Bye-Bye WaMu
I'm gonna miss you so;
Bye Bye WaMu,
Why'd you have to go?
No more sunshine,
It's followed you away;
I'll cry WaMu,
I'll miss the way you smile,
As tho' it's just for me;
And each and ev'ry night,
I'll write you faithfully!
Bye Bye WaMu,
It's awful hard to bear;
Bye Bye WaMu
Think I'll always wonder,
Guess I'll always be scared,
Guess I'll never even care.

Economics: Presidential HARD-BALL

Hey BUSHKIE/Paulson : GO AWAY. WTF are you trying to do??

700 BILLION dollars and NO oversight???

GO AWAY... and come back AFTER YOU're INDICTED for WAR CRIMES...

CONGRESS: NO OVERSIGHT, NO WAY.

WE WANT oversight. WE WANT judges to ORDER re-negotiation of Mortgages.

BUSHKIE. GO AWAY. YOU RUINED OUR COUNTRY ALREADY.
(Iraq weapons of mass destruction, Domestic SPYING inside ofthe USA)

Oh yeah: and BREAKING the GENEVA convention AGAINST torture.

WATER-Board DICK CHENEY NOW...
These have been MY personal opinions
Oh, want details? ABC news covers the news (via AP of course) and says...

Congress today rebuffed White House pleas to quickly pass its $700 billion Wall Street bailout package without any changes...

and instead drafted bills that would require an oversight board ...and...and... assurances that no taxpayers' money would be used to finance golden parachutes for executives whose companies were at the heart of the economic crisis.

... and ...The Senate proposal went even further than the House bill by including a measure that would give judges the power to rewrite mortgages that were in danger of default to lower monthly payments and avoid foreclosure.

Congress balked at giving Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson a blank check to buy up a mountain of virtually worthless mortgages that posed the biggest threat to the banking industry since the Great Depression. Paulson insisted Sunday that it was only "a matter of days" before credit dried up completely and he argued against any changes to his proposal, including protection for homeowners or a cap on executive compensation.

President Bush added his voice to the urgency of the legislation today and urged Congress to quickly pass the measure and to drop its plans for amendments, saying their demands would "undermine the effectiveness of the plan."

"Indeed, the whole world is watching to see if we can act quickly to shore up our markets," Bush said.

Deputy White House spokesman Tony Fratto later urged Congress to not insist on a cap for executive compensation.

"We certainly understand. Yeah, we do. Bushkie is a TOTALLY immoral, great person to drink with, but I certainly would NEVER want him to run one of my COUNTRIES... OR companies...

Deport HIM to Saudia Arabia.

* Create A Living Wage
* Create a National Single payer Healthcare
* Create a National 3-4 year draft (or alternate service)
* Create a Federally paid Day Care starting at six months
* Implement Tax Reform on the ULTRA Rich
* Lobbying (Political Reform)
* Education
* Infrastructure (road /bridge/Systems repairs)
* Lack of Training/futures
* Truth and Reconcilliation Commission
* A new "Manhattan" project, focusing on Energy INDEPENDENCE

Arguh: Yet another SaraPalin Mess.

Go Away Sarah. You are making too many appearances in my blog!

ABC news reports that
Sarah Palin (has again), shifted her tactics for the second time in three weeks on the "Troopergate" investigation, this time calling to end the very investigation that she herself called for and the one the McCain campaign had said was the only proper venue for a probe.
The Alaskan Attorney General, who initially launched an internal probe into Palin, before the legislature began theirs, is now asking the legislators to withdraw their subpoenas of Palin aides and Palin's husband.

Despite her earlier vows of full cooperation with the (leglislature's) probe, she declared it unlawful. The legislature lacked the authority to investigate the matter, she said. Instead, it should be handled by the state personnel board, Palin asserted -- a panel which is under her authority.
Gee. If it SMELLS like a RAT
and it Feels Like a Rat,
and it LOOKS like a RAT

There's a pretty good chance it's a RAT in front of you!!!

Go away Sarah. Go Far Far Away, and slink your way back to Alaska.

OK, you wanted a Political discussion: Here goes.

The background I believe that:
* We're HEADING into a DEPRESSION.

MORE PALIN pains: She Lied (oh no, OMG... A liar in the white house?)

ABC News sez:

no.. their investigative reporters found it, not their on air "talent" (Charles Gibson of 20/20)

Governor Sarah Palin Did Not Tell the Truth to ABC

OMG. She's Lying? Like... gag me with a ...I know...OIL Pipeline?

She's not telling the truth when she told ABC neither she nor her husband pressured me to fire Trooper Wooten," said Walt Monegan, the Alaskan official whose dismissal by Sarah Palin is the focus of a state investigation known as "Troopergate". "And she's not telling the truth to the media about her reasons for firing me."
In an exclusive interview with ABC News.com, (NOT the talent, but the investigators!!!) former Alaska Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan said he resisted pressure by the First Couple to re-open an old case against a state trooper, who was in a hotly contested divorce and custody battle with the Governor's sister Molly.
In a 20/20 interview, Palin told ABC's Charles Gibson she dismissed Monegan for poor job performance and that neither she nor her husband pressured Monegan to fire State Trooper Wooten.

"We never did. I never pressured him to hire or fire anybody," Palin CLAIMS.

But Monegan told ABC News.com he was summoned to a meeting with Todd Palin in December 2006, shortly after Sarah Palin became governor.

"I was called to her Anchorage formal Governor's office to talk with Todd Palin about an issue that was a private family matter," recounted Monegan. Todd became "upset," Monegan recalled, when told the allegations had already been investigated and the case would not be re-opened.

OK. I'm sick to my stomach now. I totally expect Obama to Lose. But do we need to have LIAR PERJURER a Heartbeat away from the Presidency?

Just think... Start to say the Newly revised Tzar's prayer: Keep President McCain Healthy, and keep VP Palin far far away from that black box.
and then say to yourself Hilary in '12

Oh, and in case you missed it:

Here's the SNL clip with Sarah Palin and Hilary Clinton..
(stupid NBC wanted to put a widget in YOUR link, so here is link)

Shout-Out: Goodbye Lehman Brothers, Goodbye US.Economy

Now, I'm not a rich person. (Even though I do know that a childhood friend is a multi-billionaire, I've never called him in adult-hood, for fear of being a "leech")

I was astounded to notice that I missed the headline when I went to bed last night saying, Bank of America bought MERRILL LYNCH.

They were SUPPOSED to buy Lehman Brothers.

The SKY is falling. The Sky is Falling.

I did say we were in for a DEPRESSION, DIDN'T I???

I did SAY the "mortgage" crisis was ONLY the TIP of the ICEBERG, DIDN't I?

Stock tip:

By the way, if you own WAMU stock, sell it at whatever loss that you can, or BETTER YET, SELL SHORT.

I'd say that it will be acquired this week, or closed/brokered by the FEDS.

GOODBYE and good Riddance. I liked them a few years ago when they chose to make a stand and open their ATM network for FREE to all users,
ANd then they undid themselves and reversed their position.

No way, WAMU... GOODBYE.

Back to Chicken Little:

I did say.. (I need to research through my almost 600 posts in the past three years...)

* THAT we are headed for a HUGE DEPRESSION when our economic system TANKS.

* THat we're gonna have unemployment that we can't even IMAGINE today.
* That it's gonna take A NEW deal (again) to get the country OUT of this.

See the lovely post UNDER the bar... There is an 11 point program that will GET US OUT of this (and I've been telling people this for almost 2 years now... but I have zero readership!!!so what good does it do??)

Palin as President

Now. This Palin's for YOU...

Oh. By the Way...

To quote:

" I am....practicing very hard (and cursing very liberally, while trying to practice saying
the following...)

  • President McCain. OK I can accept this one.
  • Vice President Palin (See picture above)

but I am having much trouble saying...

President Palin??

and of course, after this the inevitable (in 2012) President Hil. OR President Clinton.

And consider this my election Preview.

Obama has lost.

Totally. Historically. Without a prayer.

and a conversation with someone ELSE (NOT me ... for a change, who said...)
What, you expect Palin to be a political Veep, no way, she's got five kids, with a special needs one too. She'll be in the Veep's mansion breastfeeding for the next four years..

And I answered, "besides being Sexist that's a terrible thing to say...", and they said, "You're right, she's totally unqualified and a terrible choice. But he screwed up, and the Republican base, as well as the entire rest of the population is gonna vote for her because her daughter rebelled and got knocked up.

And I said, well doesn't the fact that she believes in Abstinence only sex education mean her value systems in today's day and age are screwed up? It just goes to show that her values are so out of touch with what our country needs...And to say it was just a rebellious daughter bemoans the fact that the daughter might never heard of what a condom was FROM who her PARENT, who SHOULD have been teaching something USEFUL to her.

And then he answered, " Well you know, that's the exact reason Obama's gonna lose. ONLY because it became such an issue, and any parent, no matter what the religion can understand the rebellious teenager."

ARGUUUH.

OK. Practice again.
President McCain.
Vice President Palin.

No calls in the middle of the night.

Although, if that happened, we'd have a female president AND vice president (Pelosi)..

Hmmm.... Hormone alert.

cheers. (practice saying Republican President...1,000 times)

Community Organizing: Mandatory Draft

OK, This I believe:

We are headed into a period of time when we will have VERY VERY high unemployment,
and especially with the "traditionally under-employed" population segments (hispanic/black teenagers...)

I think that one of the best things we can do as a society is to create a NATIONAL time of SERVICE, after High School (mandatory).

This service can be of two types (and will serve two different purposes), and would be up to the individual teen-ager and family.

Type One: National (US only) Service (and training)
Type Two: Traditional Military Service (and training)

Type two (military service) would ALSO go towards removing the volunteer (and CONTRACTOR) army.

Type One service would work to rebuild the country, as well as teaching valid skills to many different worker classes.

(SIX schools in SIX YEARS???--{2 were the same school, different years}

What about Weapons of Mass Destruction?? Huh??
What about WaterBoarding ISN't Torture?
What about ILLEGAL wiretapping of United States CITIZENS without legal permission?

HorseDung: Sarah Lies AGAIN...

It's worse then a political HOT POTATOE...

That's POTATO with a FINAL E, Ms. Palin.

In her FIRST EVER interview AFTER being Nominated for the SECOND most IMPORTANT Position in the United States, MRS. PALIN was assked:
Do you still believe that global warming is not man made?" Gibson asked Palin.

"I believe that man's activities certainly can be contributing to the issue of global warming, climate change. Here in Alaska, the only arctic state in our Union, of course, we see the effects of climate change more so than any other area with ice pack melting. Regardless though of the reason for climate change, whether it's entirely, wholly caused by man's activities or is part of the cyclical nature of our planet -- the warming and the cooling trends -- regardless of that, John McCain and I agree that we gotta do something about it and we have to make sure that we're doing all we can to cut down on pollution."

In the past, including in an interview with Newsmax.com in August just ahead of her nomination, Palin said: "I'm not one though who would attribute [global warming] to being man-made."

GEE Sarah, "

Too dumb to drink the Electric Kool-AID?"

Next Question:

Did you INHALE?

Next Question:

Did you FORGET to EXHALE?

<

What DRUGS are the REPUBLICANS ON, Anyway???

Vote Hilary... I mean, VOTE PALIN...I mean... I'm John McCain, and I forgot to Approve this Blog post...But vote...

EDIT

Oh, Just Read Maureen Dowd's Column from Tuesday 9/9 Here (NYTimes)
To quote the McCain Campaign:

This election is not about issues. This election is about a composite view of what people take away from these candidates.”

Horse-DUNG (again!)

It's the ISSUES, STUPID beotch

Dereliction of Duty: Treason Continued

Dereliction of duty

According to Reference.com,
Dereliction of duty
Dereliction of duty is a specific offense in military law. It includes various elements centered around the avoidance of any duty which may be properly expected.

In the U.S. Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), dereliction of duty is addressed within the regulations governing the failure to obey an order or regulation.

It means that one willfully, through negligence or culpable inefficiency, fails to perform one's expected duties. (Added EMPHASIS:)

Ineptitude is a defense against the charge.

Well I'm on board for that.

We can't impeach the President, but we can charge him with DERELICTION OF DUTY, he can plead guilty by reason of ineptness, and we can all move onThe maximum penalty in the U.S. is
  1. a bad-conduct discharge
  2. forfeiture of pay
  3. and six months confinement

Let's GO FOR it. Prosecute for Dereliction of DUTY!
