OK. Today at the RSA Security Conference, Bill Gates actually gave me my FIRST reason to recommend Vista (next version of Windows 2000/XP:
F-Secure : News from the Lab: "Gates also forecasted that far fewer people will be running Vista with administrator rights (than XP). Sounds good."
Now. My question.
Do most people need the added features in Windows XP versus Windows 2000?
Off the top of my head, here are the differences.
XP home/Pro New user interface, different icons by default
XP Home: No simple networking stuff.
XP Pro: way overpriced.
Win2000: GUARANTEED supports and Updates thru 2010!!!!
winXP: guarantedd updates thru 2008!
I still say Win2000 is the way to go.
