ConSerVatioN: Electric Car with Potential

Wired profiles the electric commuter car of the future... at commuter cars
Problems:
1) first model is custom built, at $100,000 each
2) not expected to go into real production until 2008
3) still too expensive.
4) look really nice!

The Tango is only 39 inches wide, has an 80 mile range on a single charge, and has a top speed of 150 mph. The two passengers sit one behind the other (forget making out at the drive in), and the car is short enough to be parked perpendicularly.

btw, at 39" wide, it is 5" narrower than a Honda Gold Wing MOTORCYCLE!
